Today I want to share with you a sweet session I had with an amazing young woman. I have known Cecilia for about 7 years now and I can’t believe how grown up she is! She is a very happy and sweet girl. She loves movies, ice cream and her family. She also loves animals of all types. I also know she LOVES music because she is always listening through her earphones. At church, when she would see me, she would always say Hello in the hallway and when I was pregnant she would always touch my belly and be so excited that there was a baby in there. Once my son was born she always asked about him. She also always asked about this permanent scar I have on my arm from when I burnt myself 10 years ago…such funny things to think about and she always makes me laugh! You see, Cecilia is considered low functioning autistic. It is more common in boys than girls. When girls have it it is more severe. So you might never know that looking at these images but now you can see how lovely a person can be no matter the difficulties they may be facing. She is able to get herself dressed and make some food but unlike other seniors, she will likely be with her parents while she grows up. Either way, getting to do this photoshoot was so fun and so special! It was short and quick and we captured some fun images of her for her family. Congratulations to this graduate!!
